On The Farm...at Bishop Museum

The Hawaii State Farm Fair was this past weekend at the Bishop Museum. This year, the focus was more on actual farming, rather than crazy rides or fairway games. The Bishop Museum was the perfect spot for it--the museum exhibits were all open, so you could check out the animals (from 4H clubs around the state; I heard that some of the animals came to Honolulu on the Super Ferry), shop the farmer's market, eat at North Shore Cattle Company (among other great local  food stands) AND see all that Bishop Museum has to offer. Plus, you could see things like this pig, drinking water. And hear a sheep "baaa." It was a lot different in person than it was in the nursery rhymes, I'm telling you.
